11/27/2006: Come see the results of the first year of the S1000D SCORM testbed project at I/ITSEC in Orlando, Dec. 4 through Dec. 7, 2006. Our results include (a) demonstrations and examples of integrated technical publications and instruction, using S1000D and SCORM, as well as (b) recommendations and support for those interested in integrated development of technical publications and instruction.

Demonstrations and Examples

At I/ITSEC you can see demonstrations and examples that illustrate how technical publications and instruction can be integrated using S1000D and SCORM.  These Use Cases will be demonstrated at the IAI booth, #2363, across from the ADL booth.  (You can get a preview by looking at the Use Case section {link} of this web site). Additionally, partners of the S1000D SCORM testbed have created examples of integrated technical publications and instruction, which they will demonstrate at I/ITSEC. Many partners will present their demonstrations at their own booths; others will present their desmonstrations at the ADL booth.  Check the demonstration schedules, available from the ADL booth and the IAI booth, to find the location and time of the demonstrations that you want to see.

Recommendations and Support

As the demonstrations and examples have been investigated and explored, we have been learning what works and what doesn't. This web site will present findings that we find relevant for future projects. Please come and talk to the S1000D SCORM testbed sponsors, contractors and partners about what we learned as we explored how to develop integrated technical publications and instruction using S1000D and SCORM.
