The Advanced Distributed Learning Job Performance Technology Center (ADL JPTC) was originally established by the US Department of Defense (DoD) in 2000. The Training Transformation Initiative further defined and supported the user of job performance technologies in the DoD. The Office of the Secretary of Defense, Personnel and Readiness (SOD P&R), working through the ADL Initiative, established the JPTC at the Alexandria ADL Co-Laboratory (Alexandria ADL Co-Lab). The JPTC's mission is to advance research and development in, and the implementation of, job performance technologies across the DoD and federal government, guided by the work of the ADL Initiative and in support of the T2 Initiative. The JPTC will promote research into the return on investment (ROI) of job performance technologies, serves as an "honest broker" for federal goverment and DoD requirements gathering, and acts as a collaborative point and working lab in researching and initiating demonstrations of job performance tools, content, and subject matter expertise dealing with human performance throughout the DoD. ProductionIntelligent Automation, a woman owned small business, with the support of its partners, Learning Systems Architecture Laboratory (LSAL), O'Neil, Delta 3D, and Dynamics Research Corporation (DRC) is pleased to offer its services in SCORM and S1000D Testbed development to the ADL Co-Laboratory and the Job Performance Technology Center (JPTC). We have assembled a team that brings depth of experience in all the relevant areas to the effort, and we count among our partners and advisors individuals who have been instrumental in the design, development, and real-world use of SCORM, S1000D, and other relevant technologies and standards. Intelligent Automation Inc.
Intelligent Automation, Inc. (IAI) is a woman owned firm founded in 1987 by Drs. Leonard and Jacqueline Haynes. Since then, IAI has expanded to an organization of over 80 technical staff housed in Rockville, Maryland. The Educational Technology group at IAI conducts R&D to provide intelligent tools and environments for learners, teachers, and courseware developers. Our focus has included assistive environments for special education, studies in hypertext usability, and Web-based distance learning applications. Our applications span the K-12 environment, as well as the adult learner community, military education and training, and courseware development support. Learning Systems Architecture Lab
The Learning Systems Architecture Lab (LSAL) conducts research focused on the design and creation of Internet-based technologies for education and training. We engage in system design, prototype development, and developing best practices, with emphasis on emerging technologies and standards for e-learning for all users (K-16, training, life-long). Dynamics Research CorporationDynamics Research Corporation is headquartered in Andover, MA, where it was founded in 1955. It has since grown to become a $200M+ government service provider. DRC, a frequent IAI partner in simulation-based training efforts and intelligent tutors, will offer valuable experience in real-world training applications required by DoD to support training and readiness for current military operations as well as the future force, providing access to military subject matter experts and sites for user testing. O'Neil & Associates, Inc.
O'Neil has over 200 employees. Over 150 are located at the company's Miamisburg, Ohio headquarters, and the balance is situated around the country at/near key client locations. We are ISO 9001:2000 certified and quality focused. Delta3DDelta3D is an open source (OS) game engine being built by the MOVES Institute at the Naval Postgraduate School. Delta3D can be used for games, simulations, or other graphical applications. Its modular design integrates other well-known Open Source projects such as Open Scene Graph, Open Dynamics Engine, Character Animation Library, and OpenAL.
